The Layal Jade Tinubu Unoella Foundation is excited to kick off the second edition of its flagship program, “Be Empowered!” for 2025.
This initiative is focused on empowering young women entrepreneurs in Nigeria by providing them with the essential resources and financial support they need to start, grow, and scale their businesses.
Unlocking Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs
As part of this initiative, the foundation will distribute an Empowerment Fund of ₦60 million to select beneficiaries.
The goal is to support women-led businesses with a focus on innovative, scalable ideas that can thrive in today’s competitive market.
Objectives of the “Be Empowered!” Initiative
The “Be Empowered!” initiative is designed with several key objectives in mind:
- Providing financial backing to young women entrepreneurs to help them start or grow their businesses.
- Offering training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to equip women with the skills and connections they need to succeed.
- Creating a strong community of women entrepreneurs who can support, inspire, and learn from each other.
- Promoting economic empowerment for women to contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth and development.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply for the “Be Empowered!” initiative, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a female entrepreneur between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Have a viable business idea or an existing business that is no older than 3 years.
- Be a Nigerian citizen or resident.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of their business and its potential for growth.
