The death certificate of actor Lance Reddick, known for his roles in “The Wire” and the “John Wick” film franchise, has revealed that he died due to heart disease.
The document states that Reddick’s immediate cause of death was Ischemic Heart Disease and Atherosclerotic Coronary Artery Disease. The certificate also revealed that Reddick was cremated.
The actor was found dead at his Studio City home on March 17, and law enforcement officials had initially stated that the death appeared to be of natural causes.
Reddick had been doing a press tour for “John Wick: Chapter 4” before his sudden death, and he had an appearance scheduled on Kelly Clarkson’s show the week after he passed away.
A selfie video of the actor with his dogs had also been posted on social media just days before his death, raising questions about why he was not attending the “Wick 4” premiere in New York City.
Lance Reddick was a celebrated actor, known for his work on “The Wire,” where he played Baltimore Police Department officer Cedrick Daniels in all five seasons of the show.
He also had a long list of credits including shows like “Fringe,” “Bosch,” “Oz,” and “Lost,” as well as movies such as “Angel Has Fallen” and “Godzilla Vs. Kong.”
His castmates honored him at the “John Wick” premiere in Los Angeles by wearing blue ribbons, and Keanu Reeves shared some touching words about his friend. Reddick was 60 years old.
