Wemy Industries, the makers of Dr. Brown’s diapers, wipes, sanitary pads and Nightingale range of products, has donated some Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.
The Chief Medical Director of LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, who received the donated items on behalf of the hospital, commended the gesture of Wemy Industries, adding that the donated items are very essential to the health workers, especially in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The CMD further affirmed that Wemy Industries Nightingale products had always been one of the components of the delivery pack at Ayinke House, assuring that going forward, the packs will be received directly by the hospital without middlemen.
Earlier, the Public Relations Officer of the company, Mrs. Jadesola Adegboyega, said that the donation was meant to support the government efforts to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and guarantee the safety of healthcare professionals in the hospital.
Other Management staff present during the event include the Director of Clinical Services and Training, Dr. Ibrahim Mustafa; Director of Hospital Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Kehinde Gbajumo; Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Tayo Lawal, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Mrs. Adebola Aina and Senior Special Assistant to CMD, Mr. Kingsley Dabor.
