As part of the process to establish a Medipark of international standards in Lagos, the Office of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders, recently organised a two-day Virtual Bidders Conference.
The conference was convened to interact with stakeholders and unveil Requests for Qualification (RFQ) submitted by interested organisations.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General, Office of Public-Private Partnerships, Mr. Ope George said the forum was initiated to advance the process of creating an enabling environment for the delivery of world-class, excellent healthcare services in the State.
George said the proposed project is one of the strategies of the present administration towards improving the health sector and Making Lagos A 21st Century Economy as espoused in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda.
The Director-General further informed that when completed, the Medipark will redefine the healthcare experience of Lagos residents and promote medical tourism in the State.
Recalling that the development of a medical village was initiated in the year 2020, George restated that the project will span across 2.1 hectares of land on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, and envisaged that work will commence this year.
The 12 bidders that participated in the virtual conference to open Requests for Qualification (RFQ) included AA Veracutek Investment Limited; ABCS/POAADIT/V CARE/ Consortium; Diamond Helix Consortium; Health Markets Africa Consortium; HKS Healthcare Consortium; IHC International LLC and Metro Capital Advisory Group.
Others are: AacePelMedic, Piccini Group, PPC Nigeria Limited, Reddington Multi Specialist Hospital, Sharpoorji Pallonji Group and RNZ-OCHSNER Consortium.
