For Kim Kardashian, relief from years of chronic pain meant packing her bags and heading south of the border.

This wasn’t for a beach getaway or a photoshoot — it was for a medical treatment she couldn’t get at home in the U.S. With sister Khloé by her side, the 44-year-old reality star flew to Mexico to undergo a procedure that promised to change her life.

Sharing the Journey on Social Media

On Friday, Kim took to Instagram to let her followers in on the secret.

Alongside photos inside a minimalist medical center, she revealed she had undergone Muse stem cell therapy at Eterna Health.

Dressed in black pajamas and dark goggles, she posed with her doctor and even shared a snapshot mid-procedure, where blood could be seen on her back.

“I’m so excited to share with you guys my stem cell journey,” she wrote.

What Is Muse Stem Cell Therapy?

According to Eterna Health, Muse stem cell treatment works by replacing damaged or compromised cells with healthy, fully functional tissue — particularly in areas like joints and muscles.

While some stem cell therapies are FDA-approved in the U.S. (like those using umbilical cord blood for certain blood disorders), most, including Muse treatments, are still considered experimental and aren’t available for general use.

How It All Started — A Shoulder Injury

Kim revealed that her introduction to stem cell therapy began two years ago when a weightlifting injury left her with a torn shoulder and unbearable pain.

“I tried everything to find relief,” she said, “then I learned about the potential of stem cell therapy and met Dr. Adeel Khan at Eterna.”

She claims that after receiving Dezawa Muse cells in her shoulder, her range of motion returned instantly — and the pain disappeared completely.

Returning for Back Pain Relief

Encouraged by the shoulder’s miraculous recovery, Kim decided to return to Dr. Khan — this time for her back.

She says she had been battling chronic back pain for years, but after receiving Muse stem cell treatment again, “the unbearable pain is finally gone.”

A Life-Changing Experience

Kim didn’t hold back on her praise. “The procedure has transformed my life when I thought my body was breaking down,” she wrote.

Still, she added a careful disclaimer, reminding followers that “everyone is different” and urging them to do their own research and consult medical professionals before considering such treatments.

Why Mexico Was the Only Option

Because Muse stem cells aren’t currently available in the U.S., Kim had no choice but to travel to Mexico to get treated.

She expressed gratitude for having the means to pursue the therapy and shared her hope that science will advance so more people can access it.

“Forever thankful to @dr.akhan @eterna.health,” she wrote.

Looking Ahead

The SKIMS founder closed her post with an optimistic note: “Here’s to hope, healing, and the future of science.”

For Kim, the journey wasn’t just about pain relief — it was about finding new possibilities for health when traditional treatments had failed.
