Kenyan Police officer arrested for threatening to kill a woman

A police officer in Kenya’s Suna East district has been arrested for threatening to kill a lady he accuses of pushing his wife to leave him.
Lucy Atandi, a resident of Migori town’s Police Line district, was threatened with death by a police constable named Eric Ochieng’.
“A person well known to Lucy Atandi, a resident of police line area within Migori town, reported that a person well known to her as Erick had gone to her house and started threatening to kill her after claiming that she was the one who incited his wife and children to leave him,” the report read in part.
”  This prompted police officers from Migori Police Station to move down to the rental unit where Atandi resides. They arrested the suspect and took him to the police station.
The officer was grilled and he revealed that he was attached to Kondele Police Station in Kisumu County. Ochieng’ had taken a three-day off to settle the differences with the wife when he was nabbed.
The report added; “The officer had arrived and found his house within the Administrative Police Line in Migori deserted, closed and padlocks changed.
He gained access by breaking the padlock.” Ochieng’ was then informed that his wife and children were at Atandi’s house. He headed there and found them in the house, leading to a serious altercation between him and Atandi.
The police report further read; “He is currently held at Migori Police Station cells pending arraignment on Monday, February 7.
