Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt reveals blossoming romance with Derek Green as their lifelong family ties turn into love during offseason travels in Europe

Sometimes life has a funny way of bringing people back together.

That’s exactly what happened with Gracie Hunt, daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, and Derek Green, son of former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green.

The pair grew up around each other—playing at team Christmas parties as kids—before reconnecting as adults in 2017.

This year, their bond has deepened, with Gracie happily admitting that since March, the two have been “inseparable.”

A Summer Filled with Travel and Romance

While the NFL has been on break, Gracie didn’t waste a minute of her offseason.

Based in Dallas, she used the downtime to escape the Texas heat and head off on European adventures.

She described her travels as “so much fun,” especially since she kept bumping into Chiefs fans overseas—proof, she says, that the “Chiefs Kingdom is becoming the world’s team.”

Balancing Love, Faith, and Family

Travel and romance weren’t the only highlights of her offseason.

Gracie shared that she set aside intentional time to recharge and realign her priorities.

For her, that means focusing on faith, making memories with family and friends, exploring new business opportunities, and finding moments in nature to reset.

“Every offseason, my goal is to grow in those areas so I’m ready to give my best when football season begins,” she explained.

Eyes on the Upcoming NFL Season

Of course, football is never far from her mind.

With the new season kicking off September 4, and the Chiefs opening the very next day in São Paulo, Brazil, against the Los Angeles Chargers, Gracie is already buzzing with excitement.

“I don’t think I ever really stop thinking about football,” she admitted.

“In its absence, the heart does grow fonder.”

Positive Energy Surrounding the Chiefs

According to Gracie, the entire organization is locked in and preparing for another strong run.

“Everyone has been working on themselves individually, doing their best in every area,” she said.

“What excites me most is watching the team continue to grow and compete at such a high level.”

She describes the energy around the team as nothing short of “immaculate.”

Carrying on a Legendary Family Legacy

As the granddaughter of Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, Gracie carries a unique role as both a public face of the franchise and a proud representative of her family’s legacy.

Whether she’s at games, community events, or abroad meeting fans, she embodies the spirit of the Chiefs organization.

A Playful Denim Moment

Outside of football talk, Gracie recently had a little fun with fashion—and a trending controversy.

After Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney appeared in a jeans campaign that sparked online drama, Gracie shared her own denim look on Instagram.

Captioning a nighttime street photo, she cheekily wrote: “Denim days & dreamy nights. I like the view and my jeans (not American Eagles—but they are American).”

What’s Next for Gracie?

With a new season on the horizon, a new relationship blossoming, and her personal goals keeping her grounded, Gracie Hunt seems ready for whatever comes next.

Whether it’s cheering on the Chiefs in Brazil, traveling the globe, or sharing lighthearted posts online, she continues to balance her family legacy with her own personal journey.
