“It was not an easy game, and it was my first time starting,” Sebelebele told OP TV.
“After Sundowns scored, I didn’t give up. I had a feeling we would score and win the game.
Unfortunately, we didn’t, but we’ll push harder in the second leg. This is Orlando Pirates—the team people know for comebacks.”
His determination highlights the fighting spirit that Pirates fans expect from their team, especially in tight matches like these.
Mashiloane Faces Challenges
Not every new signing has adapted as quickly. Former TS Galaxy coach Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela has spoken about Mashiloane’s struggles.
“When you start a new journey, people will question everything you do,” Malesela told KickOff.
“Players need game time to improve. Tshepo’s main challenge is dealing with crosses, something he also faced at Galaxy.
He needs to work on reading and anticipating them. Other than that, he’s a solid player.”
Guidance and Growth Are Key
Malesela also stressed the importance of patience and mentorship for new players.
“No one starts a new job knowing everything. Senior players at Pirates should help guide him during games.
The good news is that struggles with crosses can be trained and improved with time.”
Mashiloane now has a clear path forward if he wants to prove himself—learning, adapting, and leaning on experienced teammates.
