Stuart Baxter is begging with the Premier Soccer League to postpone the fixtures that Kaizer Chiefs failed to show up for – and his argument is extremely valid and real — giving Amakhosi hope!
STUART BAXTER GIVES VALID REASON FOR POSTPONEMENT
Baxter is fully behind Amakhosi having their PSL fixtures postponed, according to iDiskiTimes. He also believes that they should have them postponed due to the nature of the situation – Chiefs entire squad had Covid.
In the UK and English Premier League several games were suspended with teams having just a couple of players test positive.
“What I would say is that many leagues have been learning as they’ve gone along. They’ve made a ruling and then they’ve realized ‘we’ve got to be more flexible than that’. And many leagues have done that.
“Now, I don’t think there’s anybody in the [English] Premier League, who’ve had anywhere near [the outbreak] that we had. But there have been clubs that have had their games postponed and rearranged.
Baxter and Amakhosi are ell aware of the importance of these six points in the context of this season’s DStv Premiership.
If they forfeit these fixtures, any small chance of catching up with Mamelodi Sundowns will officially be over.
