Kaizer Chiefs have NOT finalised a deal with AmaZulu midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe despite the hype around the Bafana Bafana star.
According to the midfielder’s uncle and agent Musawakhe Sihlangu Sithebe, the 28-year-old remains committed to AmaZulu until the end of the season.
Sihlangu said while he spoke to Chiefs who wanted to sign Sithebe in January, talks of a possible move were between the two clubs without his involvement as an agent.

AGENT: NO SITHEBE DEAL WITH ANYONE, INCLUDING KAIZER CHIEFS

“As we speak, the player is certainly committed to AmaZulu. No deal, at the moment, has been finalised with any club, including Chiefs,” said Sihlangu on SA FM.
“When they (AmaZulu) spoke of the move, we are not involved as agents; it’s a club-to-club transfer type of a deal. We only get information from the clubs itself once the deal is finalised,” he explained.

AMAZULU NEEDED CASH TO LET SITHEBE JOIN KAIZER CHIEFS

Furthermore, Sihlangu revealed that Chiefs wanted a player-exchange deal while AmaZulu wanted cash in order to release Sithebe.
And in as far as he is concerned, the two clubs – AmaZulu and Chiefs – didn’t agree hence Sithebe is still in Durban.

“All I know is that Chiefs were willing to secure the player in a type of exchange deal that they can exchange players, and AmaZulu needed financial benefit in terms of cash,” confirmed Sihlangu.
“I was made to believe that the deal did not succeed hence the player is still very much contracted to AmaZulu until the end of the season.”

KAIZER CHIEFS COULD STILL MISS OUT ON SITHEBE

If Sihlangu’s words are to be believed, Chiefs could still miss out on Sithebe come the end of the season because there are so many terms interested in his services.

“We do not know yet who will, actually, win the race in securing him (Sithebe) because it seems like there are many teams that are really interested in his services,” concluded Sithebe.
