Kaizer Chiefs contract renewals: Who deserve extensions based on stats?

Kaizer Chiefs are in the process of reviewing and finalising the contracts of a number of their senior players whose deals expire in June.
After handing no fewer than seven players contract extensions in January, Chiefs still have seven more contracts to deal with.
And they include Bernard Parker, Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Akpeyi, Lazarous Kambole, Kearyn Baccus, Samir Nurkovic and Ramahlwe Mphahlele.
A lot has been said about the abovementioned players and their contribution to the Glamour Boys over the past few months and seasons.
The South African takes a look at what the stats say regarding the seven players’ contribution to Chiefs for you (the reader) to decide if any of them deserve contract extensions.
WHO SHOULD CHIEFS HAND CONTRACT EXTENSIONS BASED ON STATS?
BERNARD PARKER
Parker arrived at Chiefs in 2011 following a stint abroad, and since then, he has featured in 352 matches, scoring 59 goals and grabbing 39 assists.
The 35-year-old has shown so much improvement this season, scoring four goals in the 15 matches he has played thus far.
LEBOGANG MANYAMA
Manyama has directly been involved in 30 goals – 15 goals and 15 assists – in 94 competitive matches for Chiefs.
His contract is ending in June, but Chiefs have an option to renew it for a further year, and his contribution this season, which stands at seven games without a goal or an assist, will determine his future.
DANIEL AKPEYI
Akpeyi (35) has been in top form for Chiefs since his first full season but perhaps his number of clean sheets (27) in 69 matches are the reason some fans feel he has not done enough.
The Nigeria international has conceded 61 goals in the Chiefs colours, seven of which came in the 12 matches he has played so far this season.
LAZAROUS KAMBOLE
Kambole has had it tough since arriving in South Africa three years ago, scoring just twice in 42 matches for Chiefs.
He is sitting on a single goal in two appearances since Stuart Baxter took over from Gavin Hunt at the end of last season.
KEARYN BACCUS
Baccus hasn’t enjoyed as much game time as he would have hoped for since taking that brave decision to return to South Africa in 2020.
But he has contributed immensely in the 48 games he has played, recording four assists and finding the back of the net twice from a midfield position.
SAMIR NURKOVIC
Nurkovic has directly been involved in 30 goals – 20 goals and 10 assists – in 68 competitive matches since joining Chiefs as a relatively unknown three years ago.
He missed the better part of the first half of this season due to injury, and in the five games that he played, Nurkovic didn’t score or register an assist.
RAMAHLWE MPHAHLELE
As a defender, Mphahlele has had memorable matches at Chiefs but his crossing game still needs to improve.
His ability to create and score goals is something that he has offered going forward as he’s got five goals and eight assists in 116 matches for Chiefs.
Now, which of the seven players deserve contract extensions at Chiefs?
