After a solid run in the PSL, Bosnian striker Dzenan Zajmovic is back on the radar—and this time, he could be heading to one of the country’s biggest clubs.
Fresh off a season with TS Galaxy where he netted eight goals in 25 appearances, Zajmovic is now a free agent and weighing his options.
Eyes on Kaizer Chiefs?
Among the teams believed to be interested in Zajmovic are none other than the Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs.
With the transfer window in full swing, the club is reportedly considering the 30-year-old forward to bolster their attack.
Chiefs have already signed one striker this season—Flavio Silva—but early pre-season signs suggest Silva might need time to settle in.
That opens the door for someone like Zajmovic, who already knows the league well.
Zajmovic Speaks Out About His Future
In a recent interview with KickOff, Zajmovic confirmed that two PSL clubs have already reached out to him.
While he kept their names under wraps, speculation is rife that Kaizer Chiefs and possibly even Orlando Pirates could be among them.
“Two clubs have already contacted from the PSL.
South Africa is a nice country with a good league, and I would love to continue playing there at a new club,” Zajmovic said.
South Africa Feels Like Home
Zajmovic didn’t just enjoy his football here—he and his family embraced the South African lifestyle completely.
His remarks reflected a genuine affection for the country, both on and off the pitch.
“I felt at home and will never shut a door for anything to do with South Africa, and my wife and kids know about it,” he shared.
“It was an amazing experience being in South Africa.Football was good, and the life was also the same, so there was a connection to being in a good mental space and playing football.”
Chiefs Looking for More Firepower?
With just one striker signed so far and pre-season matches not yet convincing, Kaizer Chiefs might just be in the market for an experienced goal-getter—and Zajmovic fits that bill.
He has PSL experience, he’s available on a free transfer, and he’s already acclimatised to the South African football culture.
