For Justin Timberlake, the last year has been anything but smooth.

Once the face of slick pop perfection, he’s recently faced wave after wave of criticism for his solo tour performances—and now, insiders say he’s realizing the answer to reviving his career might be going back to where it all began: *NSYNC.

A Tour That Turned Into a Headache

Timberlake’s Forget Tomorrow World Tour was supposed to be his big moment back in the spotlight.

But instead of rave reviews, the 44-year-old pop star found himself trending for all the wrong reasons.

From abrupt cancellations to fans complaining about “lazy” performances, the tour was more miss than hit.

Reports from several cities painted an unflattering picture—Justin showing up late, barely singing full verses, and wandering around stage in sunglasses and a hat, barely visible to fans who had paid big money to see him.

In some venues, angry attendees even walked out mid-show, while others demanded refunds.

Disappointment Around the Globe

The criticism wasn’t limited to one place. In Romania, one concertgoer called him “an absolute disappointment.”

Over in Dublin, videos surfaced of him putting the mic on the floor and simply pacing the stage while the crowd carried the vocals.

And in Lithuania, Norway, and even Transylvania, fans echoed similar feelings—many saying Timberlake seemed bored and ready to leave before his set was even over.

At one gig, he reportedly ended the show 40 minutes early. Not exactly the energetic, choreographed performances he was once known for.

Arrest, Cancellations, and Empty Seats

The troubles didn’t stop there. Timberlake’s DUI arrest in the Hamptons last June added fuel to the fire.

Officers said he failed to stop at a sign and couldn’t stay in his lane.

According to police, his reaction was telling: “This is going to ruin the tour.” And sadly for him, it kind of did.

Months of fallout followed. His U.S. tour ended with a canceled show in Columbus, Ohio—his second cancellation at that same venue.

Ticket sales also took a hit, with prices dropping significantly and venues struggling to fill seats.

Looking Back to Move Forward

Now, with his final tour stop in Istanbul officially behind him, Timberlake is reportedly looking to regroup.

And this time, he might not go it alone. According to a source close to the situation, all signs point to a full *NSYNC reunion.

“He knows the fans want it,” the insider said. “The songs he’s done with the group—both for the Trolls movie and his last album—were some of the best received.”

After taking a breather with family and maybe working on a film, the source claims Timberlake is ready to reconnect with JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass.

Inspired by Destiny’s Child and Backstreet Boys

Apparently, the *NSYNC members have been watching other groups make successful comebacks.

Timberlake and the guys reportedly took notice of Destiny’s Child’s surprise reunion during Beyoncé’s concert, and Lance Bass has been watching Backstreet Boys perform to huge crowds.

“They’ve been texting each other constantly,” the insider added.

“Now it’s just about deciding—should they go on tour or take up a residency somewhere?”

The Long Road to Reunion

Formed in 1995, *NSYNC took the pop world by storm with hits like “I Want You Back,” releasing four albums before taking a break in 2002.

Over the years, they’ve reunited a few times—most recently for the 2023 Trolls Band Together soundtrack and a surprise appearance during Timberlake’s ONO concert in LA.

Earlier this year, Joey Fatone hinted that something might be brewing.

In an interview, he said the band hadn’t yet had a proper face-to-face conversation, but getting everyone in the same room was “the key to making it happen.”

Could This Be the Comeback Fans Have Waited For?

While there’s still no official announcement, the signs are definitely there.

Timberlake is feeling the pressure, his solo path has hit major speed bumps, and nostalgia-fueled reunions are hotter than ever.

Whether it’s a global tour or a Vegas-style residency, fans could finally be getting what they’ve been hoping for—a full-on *NSYNC reunion.

And for Timberlake, it might just be the fresh start he needs.
