Riky Rick’s funeral and memorial details announced

Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, popularly known as Riky Rick, passed away on Wednesday 23 February from suicide after the star rapper allegedly took his own life after a long battle with depression.
The hip-hop star’s family has announced the details for his funeral and memorial service.
Riky Rick was said to have hung himself with a rope. Another source revealed that he was found by his management team at his home in Johannesburg north around 08:30 am on Wednesday morning.
He passed away while en route to the hospital.
In a statement sent to News24, his family said: “His love for family, friends and community is well known. Riky’s nurturing and developing of young musical talent is well documented and will forever be remembered.”
On Friday 25 February, the Makhado shared that they were “deeply moved” by the global outpouring of support for Riky Rick.
The Makhado family also announced that a private funeral for Riky Rick will take place in Johannesburg on Tuesday 1 March. The ceremony will be live-streamed and will take place from 10:00.
The memorial service will take place on Friday 4 March from 10:00 and will also be live-streamed.
