JoJo Siwa is opening up about moving on from her past relationship while getting serious with Love Island’s Chris Hughes.

The American singer and reality star, 22, has been navigating life and love in the public eye ever since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year.

A Swipe at Her Ex

JoJo made headlines back in April when she ended things with her ex, Kath Ebbs, shortly after leaving the Big Brother house.

Since then, both have moved on — with Kath introducing a new partner, AFLW player Tilley Lucas-Rodd, in July.

Kath’s social media post, captioned, “Hope this one doesn’t cheat on me,” seemed to invite commentary from fans and JoJo alike.

In response, JoJo has kept it classy while expressing relief she ended the relationship when she did.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, she said:
“I’m just lucky enough that I realised things when I did. I could have spent more time in my life being in a bad place.

And I’d rather not do that. It’s interesting… It’s funny to see what people do for attention.”

Wedding Plans With Chris Hughes

While JoJo has reflected on the past, her focus now is on the future with Chris Hughes.

Despite their long-distance relationship, the pair are already imagining what a wedding might look like. JoJo shared with the magazine:
“A wedding is a two-person thing. So we would have to decide what it looks like.

But I do know that I want it to have a baby-blue colour scheme and I need to help Chris make the playlist.

Otherwise, it’ll be all songs I don’t know! He loves The 1975 and all these boy bands, but I don’t know any of them as they are British.

Give me some NSYNC or Backstreet Boys!”

Thinking About Kids and the Future

JoJo’s candidness doesn’t stop at wedding plans — she’s also considering starting a family.

Speaking on Heart’s digital feature No Filter, she admitted to “pestering” Chris about children, noting the natural acceleration of their relationship:
“The thing about Christopher and I is how we met, it accelerates your relationship like no other.

Just on a friendship dynamic, and then all of a sudden we realised, clearly we like each other more than friends, a lot more than friends.”

She continued with an optimistic outlook on their life together:
“I think we have a beautiful future ahead. It’s very fast and very quick, but it feels so right.

I can’t explain it, but we have very fun things ahead of us that I’m looking forward to.

It’s everything anyone wants in life — to feel this way, be treated this way, and make a family this way.”

Families Give Their Blessing

Part of what makes their relationship feel so secure is the support from both sides of the family.

JoJo has shared that her mum “adores” Chris, and the two were recently photographed enjoying a cup of tea with his father, Paul.

The families seem to get along seamlessly, making JoJo and Chris feel like one big, happy family.

JoJo’s Life in the UK

Beyond love and weddings, JoJo has been considering a permanent move to the UK to be closer to Chris.

Between planning their future and embracing family life, the star is embracing a whirlwind romance that feels right, fast, and full of promise.
