John Travolta decided to spread some Easter joy this year—and he brought his adorable dog Peanut along for the ride.
The Hollywood legend melted hearts on social media after posting a cozy photo of Peanut sniffing a shiny gold-wrapped Lindt chocolate bunny on his bed.
But don’t worry—Travolta quickly cleared up the obvious concern.
“Happy Easter from me, Ella, Ben and Peanut!” he captioned the picture, before adding a very necessary footnote: “Not to worry, she won’t eat the chocolate bunny.”
Fans Breathe a Sigh of Relief Over Chocolate Concerns
If you’re a dog owner, you probably cringed at the idea of a pup anywhere near chocolate.
Fans definitely did. But Travolta’s quick reassurance that the bunny was just a prop brought some peace of mind.
“That’s good to hear—Happy Easter to you, too,” one relieved follower replied.
Of course, chocolate can be dangerous—sometimes deadly—for dogs.
But Peanut was just giving the festive treat a curious sniff, and fans were more than happy to enjoy the adorable moment once they knew she was safe.
How Peanut Became a Part of the Travolta Family
Peanut didn’t start off as a Travolta—her life took a major turn at the 2022 Oscars.
Jamie Lee Curtis had brought the pup, then named Mac & Cheese, on stage during a touching tribute to the late Betty White, who was a lifelong animal advocate.
That night, Curtis was honoring White’s legacy when fate stepped in backstage.
Travolta met the pup, fell in love instantly, and by the very next day—Peanut had a forever home.
“The day we adopted Peanut on Oscar night! She’s brought the biggest joy to our family,” he shared in a heartfelt post the following year.
Inside Travolta’s Florida Mansion With the Family and Peanut
Travolta and his kids live in a sprawling mansion in Ocala, Florida—a home that occasionally makes quiet cameos in family snapshots.
According to reports, the estate is quite something. It boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a full gym, outdoor pool, garden, and a 16-car garage.
Oh—and it has its own private airport. Because of course it does.
The property is said to be valued at around $10 million and sits just a short flight from the Church of Scientology’s international spiritual hub in Clearwater, Florida.
The Travoltas enjoy a quiet life away from the Hollywood buzz, while still staying close to some very A-list amenities.
Back on Screen: Travolta Juggles Two Intense New Projects
Even with all that peaceful family time, Travolta isn’t stepping back from the screen just yet.
He’s currently reprising his role as professional thief Mason Goddard in Cash Out 3.
The action thriller is being filmed along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and production is expected to wrap soon.
On top of that, he’s also set to play mobster Johnny Roselli in the upcoming thriller November 1963—a film that dives into the supposed mafia connection to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
Roselli, a real-life figure with ties to the infamous Chicago Outfit, is being brought to life in a script partially shaped by Bonnie Giancana—the daughter of another well-known mob figure, Sam Giancana.
The film features a star-studded cast including Mandy Patinkin, Robert Carlyle, and Dermot Mulroney, with direction by Roland Joffé.
Still Shining, Still Sharing
At 71, John Travolta is continuing to live a full and vibrant life.
From sweet Easter moments with his pup to powerful film roles and family snapshots, he’s showing the world that he’s still got plenty of stories to tell—and he’s doing it with heart.
