Joe Rogan Rules Out Running for Governor of Texas and Shares His Disinterest in Politics during Podcast Conversation

Joe Rogan has made it clear: he’s not interested in running for public office, despite rumors suggesting otherwise.

The popular podcaster addressed these speculations during a conversation with conservationist Steven Rinella on his “Joe Rogan Experience.”

Rogan, who has lived in Texas since 2020, firmly dismissed any aspirations to run for Governor of Texas or any other political position.

No Interest in Politics

When asked directly if he would ever consider running for office, Rogan didn’t hold back.

“No! No!” he exclaimed.

“I’m not running for nothing. I don’t want to do nothing.

I don’t want to do a goddamn thing.”

He quickly followed up by reiterating his disinterest, saying, “F*** that! Why would I do that?” Rogan explained that his current job, where he gets to talk freely with little responsibility, is ideal for him.

He said, “I have the best job in the world.

I get to talk s**t with zero responsibilities.”

The Burden of Politics

Rogan made it clear that the weight of political responsibilities doesn’t appeal to him.

He shared his aversion to managing too many employees, which made the thought of running a state or city even less appealing.

“I would hate it,” Rogan said about managing a large scale operation like a mayor or governor’s office.

He described politics as a “creepy business” and a “prostitutional business,” adding, “I don’t like it.”

Rogan Reflects on His Role in the 2024 Election

Though Rogan is staying out of the political game, he admitted that he did enjoy having some influence on the 2024 presidential election.

After endorsing Donald Trump for president, Rogan said, “It got so weird.

I was, like, I don’t want to have anything to do with it in the future.

I just felt sucked into it.” However, he acknowledged that he wanted a change in leadership, saying, “We can’t do it with these same people that f****d us for four years.”

Rogan’s Complex Political Views

Despite his popularity among conservative circles, Rogan has described himself as progressive on several issues.

He was a vocal supporter of Bernie Sanders during the 2016 Democratic primaries.

His political stance remains multifaceted, as he’s embraced various aspects from both sides of the political spectrum, adding to his appeal across a wide range of audiences.
