Jeremy Clarkson’s social media followers got quite the surprise this week — and not because of a car, a cow, or a political rant.
Instead, it was a cheeky birthday tribute to his girlfriend, Lisa Hogan, that had fans talking.
On Wednesday, the 65-year-old Clarkson’s Farm star posted a video on Instagram showing Lisa taking a wild, chilly swim in nothing but her birthday suit.
The scene? A serene river near their Cotswolds home. The occasion? Lisa’s 52nd birthday.
A Skinny Dip and a Playful Caption
As Lisa confidently swam freestyle through the cold water, Jeremy cheekily captioned the video: “Birthday girl in her birthday suit.”
The moment was both hilarious and oddly sweet — though definitely not the first time Lisa has taken a plunge into freezing waters.
In fact, cold water swimming is something she’s tried to get Jeremy into before.
But, spoiler alert: he’s not a fan.
When Wild Swimming Meets Pub Time
During filming for Clarkson’s Farm, Lisa once suggested the couple try a wild swim together one Saturday. Jeremy’s reaction? Less than enthusiastic.
Rather than joining her in the water, he made it clear he’d much rather head to the pub.
In typical Clarkson fashion, he barked: “Get out!” He argued that “being drunk is better” than wild swimming — a statement he stood by wholeheartedly.
As Lisa floated happily with her blonde hair tucked under a swim cap, she told him she was just “loitering in cold water.”
Clarkson, clearly unimpressed, asked why they weren’t at the pub reading a book instead.
Lisa tried convincing him, saying wild swimming gives you the best natural high. But Jeremy wasn’t having it.
“I’ve done polar training,” he argued. “It was awful. And trust me, being drunk is better.”
Eventually, his patience wore thin: “Let’s go to the pub. Come on, please, hurry up.”
Jeremy’s Health Turnaround — With a Bit of Humor
While Jeremy might not be diving into icy rivers, he has been making big lifestyle changes lately.
After a serious health scare last year, he ended up having two stents fitted due to blocked arteries — a wake-up call that arrived during the filming of his show’s fourth season.
In the months since, he’s turned things around, largely thanks to the weight-loss drug Mounjaro.
Though he originally tried Ozempic with little success, Mounjaro has helped him shed nearly two stone. Jeremy calls it a “game-changer.”
But Don’t Expect a Runway Model Just Yet
Despite the weight loss, Jeremy still pokes fun at his appearance.
“Lisa’s given up on trying to make me look presentable,” he told The Sun.
“I mean, trimming eyebrows? What does it matter? I’m 65 — it’s not like I’m David Gandy.”
He’s now sporting a slimmer frame and says his diet is mostly decent — it’s the drinking that remains his guilty pleasure.
“If I could just do something about that,” he admitted, “but then I think, what’s the point?”
