Jennifer Garner showed her doting mom side this past weekend, taking some quality time to treat her teenage daughter, Fin, to a fun candy run.

The actress, 53, and her 16-year-old were spotted browsing the aisles at Rocket Fizz in Los Angeles, a quirky candy and soda shop known for its enormous selection of sweets and hundreds of soda flavors.

Candy Shopping and Quality Mother-Daughter Time

The pair enjoyed some relaxed mother-daughter bonding as they carefully picked out their favorite treats.

After loading up on sugary goodies, they were seen leaving the store with three full bags in hand, clearly happy with their haul.

Later, they were spotted putting the bags into the back of Jennifer’s car, wrapping up their sweet adventure.

Casual and Comfortable Style for a Laid-Back Day

Jennifer kept things casual and effortless for the outing, rocking a striped t-shirt paired with classic blue jeans and sneakers.

Her brunette hair was pulled back in a loose bun, and she shielded her eyes with sunglasses.

Fin kept it cool too, wearing a black zip-up hoodie over a navy t-shirt, beige cargo shorts, and sneakers — a perfect relaxed look for a sunny LA day.

Family Moments Beyond Candy Runs

While Fin was the star of this particular day out, Jennifer’s other two children — Violet, 19, and Samuel, 13 — weren’t with them.

Just last month, Jennifer was seen enjoying lunch in Malibu with Violet, Samuel, and her close friend Bradley Cooper.

They left Nobu, the upscale Japanese restaurant by the beach, sharing a casual family moment together.

Violet’s Advocacy and Health Journey

Violet, who is currently studying at Yale, has been open about managing a post-viral condition she contracted in 2019.

She keeps careful health precautions, like wearing masks in public, as a result.

Despite a previously rocky relationship with her mom, they appear to have moved past any differences, especially after Violet’s heartfelt essay last semester.

Climate Change, Fires, and a Personal Essay

Violet wrote a powerful essay for Yale’s Global Health Review titled A Chronically Ill Earth: COVID Organizing as a Model Climate Response in Los Angeles.

She described how the 2024 fires in Pacific Palisades sparked an intense conversation with her mom, Jennifer, about the scale of environmental destruction.

The essay draws parallels between the climate crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting how society often reacts with confusion and denial before returning to “pretending like the problem is gone.”

So far, neither Jennifer nor Ben Affleck, Violet’s dad, have publicly commented on the piece.

Keeping Family Ties Strong Despite Changes

Fin recently joined Jennifer, Ben, and Samuel at a Boston Red Sox game in July, showing that the family still enjoys shared moments despite Jennifer and Ben’s 2018 divorce.

They’ve maintained a positive co-parenting relationship, supporting their kids together.

Jennifer is currently dating John Miller but continues to honor her past with Ben.

In June, she posted a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute featuring a rare throwback photo of Ben with one of their children resting on his chest.

She captioned it: “Happy Father’s Day to 3 people’s favorite landing spot.”

Jennifer Opens Up About Motherhood Challenges

In a candid interview last year with People, Jennifer revealed how challenging it is to watch her kids grow up and carve their own paths.

She shared how hard it is to resist the urge to guide or direct them too much, saying, “I really have to sit on my hand” to avoid telling them what she thinks they should do.

She added how fascinated she is by watching them explore who they want to be and what they want to study, emphasizing her ongoing interest in their lives.
