New York was buzzing on Wednesday as celebrities flocked to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the US Open — and James Corden was right there among them.
The former Late Late Show host, 47, made it a stylish outing alongside his wife, Julia Carey, 49, as the couple turned heads before settling in to watch day four of the tournament.
A Stylish Entrance
The pair paused for photos on their way into the venue, both clearly dressed to impress.
Julia chose a cream-colored midi dress with subtle shoulder details, pairing the look with open-toe heels to beat the New York heat.
Wearing her blonde curls loose, she looked effortlessly elegant.
James, on the other hand, opted for a polished but playful look.
He paired sharp black trousers with a navy blazer trimmed in turquoise piping, finishing off his outfit with a neatly buttoned striped shirt.
Together, they cut quite the glamorous figure on the blue carpet.
Sitting Beside Fashion Royalty
Inside the stadium, the couple’s seats placed them right next to none other than Anna Wintour.
The legendary Vogue editor-in-chief, 75, watched the match from behind her trademark sunglasses.
She wore a white long-sleeved dress with a floral pattern and a black collar, her sleek bob as immaculate as ever.
Despite sitting shoulder-to-shoulder, James and Anna didn’t appear to chat, keeping their eyes firmly fixed on the action on court.
Wintour, however, has been in the spotlight herself lately — most recently photographed laughing with Nicole Kidman during Wimbledon.
Vogue’s Next Chapter
Off the tennis court, Wintour has been busy overseeing interviews for her successor at Vogue.
While speculation once linked Jeff Bezos to a possible purchase of the magazine for his wife Lauren Sanchez, the frontrunner now appears to be Chloe Malle, daughter of actress Candice Bergen and French filmmaker Louis Malle.
Sources say Vogue is in the final stages of selecting its next U.S. editorial head.
James Corden’s Return to Broadway
For Corden, New York is more than just a quick stop for tennis.
The actor is preparing for a major Broadway comeback in Yasmina Reza’s acclaimed comedy ART.
He will star as Serge alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Bobby Cannavale in the 17-week run directed by Scott Ellis.
The production, running from August through December, marks Corden’s first return to the Broadway stage since his 2012 Tony-winning performance in One Man, Two Guvnors.
Balancing Career and Family
The role, however, means spending extended time away from his home in the UK.
Corden and Julia share three children — Max, 13, Carey, 10, and Charlotte, 7 — and he will be based in New York for several weeks of rehearsals before the curtain officially rises.
While the separation may be tough, the project is a career milestone, allowing Corden to reconnect with his theatre roots and audiences who first saw him shine on Broadway.
