Jack Osbourne Breaks Down in Tears While Sharing Emotional Tribute to Father Ozzy Osbourne in Los Angeles

The world mourned the loss of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne on July 22, and for his son Jack Osbourne, the grief has been deeply personal.

Just weeks after Ozzy’s final concert, Jack shared an emotional YouTube video reflecting on the moment he received the devastating news.

The Heartbreaking Knock on the Door

Jack recounted how he woke up in Los Angeles to a knock on his door at 3:45 a.m., instantly sensing something was wrong.

The long-time family assistant delivered the news that Ozzy had passed away at 76, just weeks after his final performance, Back to the Beginning, at Villa Park.

Speaking candidly, Jack said, “So many thoughts, there was a level of like ‘okay, he’s not struggling.

He’s not suffering anymore.’ And that is something. I wish he was still here, you know? I wish he was still with us all, but he was having a rough go.”

Reflecting on Precious Memories

Jack shared that the last time he saw his father alive was during the concert tour.

He spent a week in England afterward with his kids, enjoying quality family time.

My dad was in an amazing mood. It was a lot of fun, and looking back now, I am so grateful for that time,” he said.

He also revealed the closeness he shared with Ozzy in his later years, even living with him briefly in his late 30s.

He was my housemate, just a friend, a text buddy, a joke cracker,” Jack reflected.

The Funeral and Emotional Tributes

Ozzy was laid to rest on July 30 at his Buckinghamshire mansion in a private ceremony attended by family and rock royalty.

Jack recalled sharing a touching quote from Keanu Reeves during the service: “I don’t know what happens when you die, but what I do know is the people that love you miss you the most.”

Jack spoke through tears about how much he missed his father—not just as a dad but as a colleague and friend.

“He was funny, weird, awkward, clumsy, hilarious, and so insightful,” Jack added, reflecting on Ozzy’s unique personality.

Health Struggles and Cause of Death

Official reports listed three causes of death: out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, and coronary artery disease, alongside complications from Parkinson’s disease, which Ozzy had been battling since 2019.

Despite his health struggles, Jack emphasized that his father remained fully aware and sharp until the end.

Legacy and Public Support

Jack praised the public’s overwhelming support following Ozzy’s passing.

“We saw everyone’s loving actions in the days after his death and were grateful we weren’t alone,” he said.

He reassured fans that Ozzy’s legacy continues: “He’s exploding through the universe, and we’re all seeing it.”

Jack Responds to Roger Waters Comments

Amid his grief, Jack also reacted to Roger Waters’ controversial remarks about his late father.

Waters admitted he wasn’t a fan of Ozzy or Black Sabbath, prompting Jack to take to Instagram, calling Waters a “c**t” and criticizing his comments as disrespectful.

“My father always thought you were a c**t—thanks for proving him right,” Jack wrote, expressing anger over Waters’ dismissive attitude toward Ozzy’s life and music.
