To begin off the Christmas season, nothing beats a pure Disney animation. And if you’re looking for an action-packed and adventurous film, go no further than Strange World.
Strange World, narrated by renowned performers such as Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal, follows the Clades, a family of legendary explorers, as they are forced to put aside their differences in order to explore the perilous realm of Avalonia. Additionally, it features Disney’s first homosexual adolescent romance!
Here is all we know about how, when, and where Strange World may be viewed (or cannot be viewed).
WHERE TO WATCH STRANGE WORLD:
As of right now, the only way to view Strange World is to go to a movie theater on Wednesday, November 23. On Fandango, you can discover a local screening. Otherwise, you will have to wait until it is available to rent or buy on digital platforms such as Amazon, Vudu, Apple, or YouTube, or to stream on Disney+. Continue reading for more details.
WHEN WILL STRANGE WORLD BE ON DISNEY+?
Although a streaming release date for Strange World has not yet been announced, Disney normally uploads their films to Disney+ about 45 days after its theatrical debut, and specifically on the Friday after that day. On January 13, 2023, we could be able to watch Strange World from the comfort of our own homes if this plan is implemented.
Although it is feasible that we will be able to stream Strange World by Christmas Day if Disney is feeling kind. A year ago, the business launched Encanto during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and then sent it to Disney+ on December 24. As usual, though, we must simply wait and watch!
WILL STRANGE WORLD BE ON HBO MAX?
Since Strange World is not a Warner Bros. film, it will not air on HBO Max. The firm previously distributed its films simultaneously on the streaming service and in cinemas. However, a 45-day buffer is now allowed between the theatrical premiere and the streaming release.
WILL STRANGE WORLD BE ON NETFLIX?
No, it seems unlikely that Strange World will be on Netflix any time soon, given that film will move directly to Disney+ following its theatrical run.
