The National Chairman Inter-Party Adversary Council, IPAC, in Nigeria, Dr Leonard Nzenwa has called on the people of Anambra State and patriotic Nigerians as they go to the poll to elect their governor peacefully to merge the country’s democracy and reap its dividends.

National Chairman Inter-Party Adversary Council, IPAC, in Nigeria also called on the eligible voters in the State to turn out en masse and vote for their preferred candidates and ensure their votes count in the overall result as the electorate should vote according to their conscience as power belongs to the people.

The umbrella body of all the political parties in Nigeria, IPAC, also said that stakeholders should “rise to the occasion, defend our frail democracy and its institutions, and ensure that this Saturday’s governorship election is successful and meets international standards.

The Council leadership also urged INEC to “provide fair competition to all political parties and their candidates taking part in the election and ensure they provide electoral materials, and voting starts as scheduled in all polling units in the State.

Adding that “The neutrality of INEC in this election will determine the survival of democracy in Nigeria.

All eyes are on the commission and its officials as they discharge this onerous civic responsibility.

Nzenwa further urged the Nigerian Security agents to discharge their duties professionally and ensure adequate protection for lives and property during the exercise.

“Security agents should equally release dedicated phone numbers for the people to call if there is any breach of the peace in their polling units.

” He added.
