Inquest Rules Woman Did Not Commit Suicide
An inquest has determined that a woman who fell from a cliff did not kill herself.
Danyell Sinckler, a mother-of-one, died in May 2022 after falling from a cliff in Saint Margaret’s Bay, Dover.
The 32-year-old had a history of mental health issues, including body dysmorphia and borderline personality disorder, which led her to spend £7,000 on plastic surgery to look like Instagram influencers.
On the day of her death, she had an argument with her boyfriend before sending a series of messages to friends and family stating that she planned to end her life.
She also attempted to call emergency services but was unable to connect.
Ms Sinckler’s body was discovered on the beach the following morning.

Actions Were a Cry for Help
The coroner ruled that Ms Sinckler’s actions were not suicidal but rather a cry for help.
She had a history of overdosing and had previously informed friends and family members of her intentions.
Furthermore, her phone calls to emergency services could have been an attempt to seek help.
The coroner highlighted that the lack of signal at the top of the cliff may have prevented Ms Sinckler from connecting with emergency services, and that her death was not intentional.
History of Mental Health Issues
Ms Sinckler’s mental health issues began at the age of 14 and escalated into body dysmorphia and borderline personality disorder.
She underwent multiple cosmetic surgeries in an attempt to look like Instagram influencers but later expressed regret and advocated for natural beauty.
Despite her struggles, Ms Sinckler’s actions on the day of her death were not suicidal but a plea for assistance.
