India reports 83,876 new COVID-19 cases

NEW DELHI, 7th February, 2022 – India on Sunday recorded 83,876 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally to 42,080,664, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

ANI said that the country also reported 199,054 recoveries and 895 deaths in the 24-hour period.

With this, the active caseload in the country reached 1,108,938.

In India, as many as 502,874 people have succumbed to the coronavirus infection so far including 895 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
