Illegal Structures on Anambra Airport Road For Demolition

Illegal structures built on the Anambra International Cargo Airport Road, Umueri have been marked for demolition.

The Taskforce from the Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB) on July 6 carried out the marking to serve as a warning over what would soon happen.

The Chairman of the Board, Mr Chike Maduekwe, a Lawyer, pointed out that those developers building on the airport road did not obtain the necessary approvals.

The structures were supposed to be built about 100 meters away from the road.

Maduekwe, then, described the developers as “recalcitrant”, noting that their actions were illegal. He cautioned that the ANSPPB would in two weeks time embark on demolition of these illegal structures, if not removed before then by such developers.
