Igbo Youths Condemn Killings In South East, Seek Inclusion In Stakeholders Meetings

The South East Igbo Youth Stakeholders have condemned in strong terms, the recent killings in the region, which they observed is negatively affecting lives and property as well as socio economic wellbeing of the people.

The group however commended the security agencies for the relentless efforts at protecting lives and property.

The youth stakeholders made this known through their spokesman, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalezeukwu.

He said that aside the region’s fair share of national insecurity, the challenges facing South East region cannot be divorced from angers of the youth against the system and leadership and therefore cannot be solved without the inputs from the youths of the region.

The group therefore expressed reservation over what they see as youth exclusion in the recent meeting of the South East Governors and Leaders forum, held at Enugu.

The South East Youths Stakeholders then called for proper stakeholders meeting of the region with adequate youth representation in order to maximize its impact and as well, serve the purpose it was meant for.
