It has evolved into something of a daily news update on the country’s ritual killings scenario.
Another suspect, Timothy Odeniyi, a suspected ritual killer, was captured with human parts by Amotekun Corps soldiers in Ondo.
He claimed that he was given N30 million if he could produce the items and deliver them to Lagos.
After being presented by Amotekun officials in Akure, the 35-year-old confessed to the newsmen, stating that the human parts were intended to be sold to someone who engaged him for rituals.
The human parts were supposed to be delivered to one of his supervisors in the garbage disposal sector for money payment, according to Odeniyi, a truck driver with a beer firm who was arrested in Ondo town, headquarters of the Ondo West Local Government Area of the state.
He claimed he went to the cemetery to sever the legs and hands of one of the buried bodies.
He intended to deliver the human parts to the guy who dispatched him to Lagos before being apprehended.
He agreed to pay him N30 million after the items were delivered.
The suspect further stated that he simply went to the burial place in Ondo town’ s Sabo region to cut the parts, that he did not kill anyone, and that this was his first time.
He was a trailer driver in the past.
When he was working as a truck driver, the person who dispatched him was his supervisor.
He used to throw it in the trash and send others to pick it up.
Chief Adetunji Adeleye, the state’ s Amotekun Commander, denied the suspect’ s statements, claiming that the suspect killed the victim before cutting the body parts and burying the body in a shallow grave.
Adeleye stated that they want the public to be aware of the importance of exercising extreme caution when driving. The practice has been steadily changing from everyday kidnappings to ritual killings in recent years.
The entire public should be wary of these young men’ s money- making mania.
Timothy Odeniyi, a suspect, was apprehended with human legs and hands wrapped in paper.
He escorted the police officers to a location where he severed the body of the individual killed and hurriedly buried the person in a shallow grave after interrogation.
On January 30, 2022, he was arrested in Ondo town for the crime he committed.
They want to remind people to be cautious about who they hang out with.
They are still looking into a number of them who will go out with their girlfriends purely with the purpose of killing them for ceremonial purposes.
