In a dramatic move that’s stirred up Washington yet again, House Republicans are ramping up their investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein scandal—this time by targeting some of the biggest political names in recent U.S. history.

At the center of this new push: former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

On Wednesday afternoon, lawmakers voted to subpoena the Clintons, aiming to compel their testimony regarding their alleged connections to Epstein.

The motion, led by Republican Rep. Scott Perry, was quickly approved and is now putting pressure on the House Oversight Committee to act.

Big Names on a Long List

But the Clintons aren’t the only ones in the spotlight.

Perry’s motion also includes a lengthy list of high-profile Democrats and former federal officials.

The full list reads like a who’s who of past administrations and includes names like former Attorneys General Eric Holder and Merrick Garland, ex-FBI Director James Comey, and even Robert Mueller, the former special counsel behind the Russia investigation into Donald Trump.

Other names added to Perry’s “wish list” are former AGs William Barr, Loretta Lynch, Alberto Gonzales, and Jeff Sessions.

As chairman of the Oversight Committee, Rep. James Comer of Kentucky will now be responsible for drafting and sending these subpoenas.

Ghislaine Maxwell Back in the Hot Seat

This renewed push comes just one day after Comer issued a subpoena for Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s long-time associate and convicted accomplice, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.

The committee now wants to question her directly at the Florida prison where she’s being held.

So far, Maxwell’s legal team hasn’t officially accepted the interview request, but they haven’t ruled it out either.

And with growing concerns over her safety, especially after what happened to Epstein, some lawmakers are demanding extra precautions be taken.

Safety Fears Spark Urgent Calls for Protection

Rep. Scott Perry made it clear on social media that he’s worried Maxwell could be silenced before revealing crucial information.

“I requested that she be placed immediately into protective custody and monitored—by guards and working surveillance equipment—around the clock,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), adding that survivors deserve to finally see justice.

Federal Judge Blocks Epstein File Release

Meanwhile, another major twist unfolded on the sae day.

A federal judge ruled against a Trump-era push to release sealed grand jury testimony related to the Epstein case.

Judge Robin Rosenberg, appointed by President Obama, rejected Attorney General Pam Bondi’s request to make the records public.

ruling has only intensified calls for transparency and answers.

What Comes Next for the Oversight Committee?

For now, all eyes are on Rep. Comer and his team.

The subpoenas haven’t been formally issued yet, but insiders suggest they’re coming soon.

With media scrutiny heating up and political tensions rising, the House Oversight Committee appears to be digging deeper than ever before into the murky Epstein saga.

Whether or not these high-profile individuals actually testify remains to be seen—but this latest development is a clear sign that the investigation is far from over.
