Hollywood Action Star Jason Statham Recreates Commonwealth Games–Style Dive From Yacht in Positano, Italy

Most people take it easy on holiday—but Jason Statham isn’t most people.

While soaking up the sun with his family on the Amalfi Coast, the action star decided to relive his diving days in a way only he could—by throwing himself off a 30ft yacht like it was a Commonwealth Games competition.

A Leap from the Top Deck, Just Like the Old Days

The 57-year-old actor, still in peak shape, was photographed mid-air as he dove headfirst into the crystal-clear waters of Positano.

It was a striking moment—one that called back to his younger days when he represented England in diving at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand.

Though he never snagged a medal back then, Jason gave a solid performance, finishing eighth in the 1-metre springboard and 11th in both the 3-metre and 10-metre events.

Not bad for a guy who started diving after watching a hotel performer on a family trip to Florida as a kid.

Childhood Inspiration Turned Athletic Pursuit

In past interviews, Jason has spoken fondly about how a childhood holiday lit the spark for his diving ambitions.

“There was this guy who did a high dive every day at noon,” he once recalled.

“I said to my parents, ‘When we get home, I’m going to do that.’”

He joined a diving club not long after—by age 12, he was already on the British team.

And while he may not have earned gold in diving, his real triumph came years later—on the big screen.

Fortunately for fans, he seems to have kept both his daredevil instincts and athletic ability.

Soaking Up Family Time with Rosie and the Kids

This sun-drenched Italian holiday wasn’t just about high dives.

Jason was joined by his fiancée Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and their two children, Jack (8) and Isabella (3), for what looked like a blissful family escape.

The trip doubled as a celebration too—they were in town for Rosie’s brother Toby’s wedding to his partner Noa.

Rosie, 38, offered a peek into their luxury getaway on Instagram, sharing glowing photos of herself in a sleek white bikini top and flowing trousers.

She looked serene and radiant while relaxing in the water, and also shared sweet snaps with Isabella in her arms and fun beach moments with Jack.

A Star Dad and Soft Side on Display

In a rare candid photo, Jason could be seen snuggled up with his two children on the yacht—far from the tough-guy persona we see in his movies.

Later, he was spotted helping Isabella onto a jet ski before diving into the sea again himself.

Despite the adrenaline-fueled stunts and action hero image, Jason was every bit the family man on this trip, balancing thrills with tenderness.

Living the High Life on the Amalfi Coast

The family stayed at the ultra-exclusive Villa Treville, a five-star retreat offering jaw-dropping views of the Amalfi Coast.

Rooms at the resort start at a whopping £3,416 per night, making it a fitting hideaway for Hollywood’s elite.

Still, beyond the price tag and luxury, it was clear this holiday was about reconnecting and making memories—not just showing off.

Why Rosie Wanted Their Kids Raised in the UK

Even though the couple is often seen jet-setting around the world, Rosie recently explained their decision to plant family roots back in the UK.

Speaking to The Times, she said it was always part of the plan.

“We love the schools, the education system. They’re growing up with little British accents—which was important to us—and we’ve got great family support here,” she shared.

With Jason’s parents just up the road and Rosie’s family visiting every couple of months, their kids are enjoying a grounded, home-grown childhood.

Recreating Her Own Devon Childhood

Rosie’s love for her roots runs deep. She grew up in Devon and still returns with her kids every summer.

“They get to run around the farm like I did. It’s very special,” she said.

That strong connection to nature and simplicity seems to be something Rosie is keen to pass down.

Although she keeps her children’s lives fairly private online, every now and then she shares glimpses—like the recent vacation—that highlight just how much family life means to her.

No Rush to Say “I Do”

Jason and Rosie have been together since 2009 and got engaged in 2016, but they’re in no hurry to walk down the aisle.

Despite having two children and more than a decade together, they’re content with how things are.

A source close to the couple told DailyMail.com that they’re “completely on the same page,” adding, “Jason might be 20 years older than Rosie, but their connection and their love for their kids is what truly keeps them grounded.”
