While Oscar Pistorius made global headlines for his murder conviction, his father Henke Pistorius is now sparking his own controversy—this time, with comments about race relations in South Africa.
In a recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Henke, a wealthy businessman and property developer, didn’t hold back on his opinions about what he calls the “racial discrimination” faced by white South Africans.
And yes—he seems to be siding with Elon Musk and the controversial lobby group AfriForum on the topic.
Henke Pistorius Says “White Genocide” Is Real in South Africa
During the interview, Piers Morgan asked Henke Pistorius directly whether he believed there was such a thing as “white genocide” happening in South Africa.
Henke didn’t hesitate. “No doubt about that,” he replied.
He painted a bleak picture of the safety situation for farmers, saying, “No farmer is in a position where they can rely on protection from authorities.”
According to him, the truth about what’s happening is being ignored—or worse, covered up.
He even went so far as to say that official crime statistics couldn’t be trusted.
“They certainly have an agenda to protect,” he claimed. “I would advise you not to rely on that.”
Instead, Henke urged people to listen to organisations like AfriForum, which he believes represent white farmers more honestly.
He Echoes Elon Musk’s Claims About Anti-White Business Policies
Henke didn’t stop at crime and policing. He also threw his weight behind Elon Musk’s criticism of South Africa’s Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) policies, saying they discriminate against white business owners.
Using Musk’s company Starlink as an example, Henke argued that the BEE requirements were stifling business.
“The support one gets to put these projects in motion is very bad, because of your skin colour,” he said.
“They quickly ask you what percentage do you have of black representation.”
Harsh Words for President Ramaphosa and the “Kill The Boer” Debate
When the conversation turned to the controversial song “Kill The Boer,” which was defended by President Cyril Ramaphosa as part of the country’s anti-apartheid legacy, Henke didn’t mince words.
He called the song “a call to total anarchy” and said South Africa was descending into “uncontrolled criminality.”
He accused the government of squandering billions and failing to uplift the country.
“People who should’ve been exposed to a wonderful education programme… instead have not done their jobs. It’s totally criminal,” he said.
Inside the Pistorius Family Empire: Wealth, Property, and Influence
Henke Pistorius is not just a loud voice on controversial political topics—he’s also part of one of South Africa’s wealthier business families.
The Pistorius clan owns a wide-ranging business empire built across generations.
Oscar’s grandfather, Hendrik Pistorius, had four sons—Theo, Arnold, Henke, and Leo—as well as three daughters.
Together, the extended family reportedly controls over 100 active companies.
Their main business, H Pistorius & Co., is involved in everything from mining to processing and distributing limestone for industrial and agricultural use.
From Shopping Malls to Game Reserves: How the Pistorius Family Built Their Fortune
Oscar’s uncle Arnold owns Twin City, a massive property development group that manages shopping malls and commercial spaces across South Africa.
He also has tourist resorts in both South Africa and Austria.
Henke, Oscar’s father, has his own property development and mining ventures.
Meanwhile, his brothers Leo and Theo are reported to be involved in everything from armoured vehicles and transport to luxury property developments.
And that’s not all. The Pistorius family portfolio includes private game reserves, a ski lodge in Austria, mines in Limpopo, and even companies dealing in big game hunting and air charters.
What Do You Think of Henke Pistorius’s Claims?
Henke Pistorius clearly believes that white South Africans are under attack—whether in business, on their farms, or in the public discourse.
But his remarks have sparked strong opinions on both sides.
