Helen George, star of the hit BBC show Call the Midwife, has confirmed that plans are already in motion for the show’s eventual finale.
Although no official end date has been set for the show, the actress has revealed that discussions have taken place about how the show could conclude, including the possibility of bringing back past characters for a reunion.
The show, which follows a group of midwives working in the 1950s East End of London, has had a number of iconic cast members over the years, including Miranda Hart and Jenny Agutter.
Fans were concerned that George’s character, Trixie Franklin, and her love interest Matthew would be leaving the show after the latest series, but it has since been confirmed that they will both return for the 13th series.
George expressed her excitement about the show’s continued success, with filming for the new series set to begin in spring. Call the Midwife is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
