If you’re in Johannesburg or Pretoria, enjoy the sunshine while it lasts! This weekend promises mostly clear skies with warm temperatures reaching up to 30°C in some areas.

There might be a few clouds around, but overall, the weather will be pleasant, with only a slight chance of rain.

Thunderstorms Rolling in from Tuesday

Big changes are on the horizon as Gauteng prepares for scattered showers and thunderstorms starting next week.

The South African Weather Service has forecasted a significant drop in temperatures, with highs only reaching the low to mid-20s from Tuesday onwards.

The wettest days will likely be Wednesday and Thursday, with a 70% chance of rainfall across the province.

Severe Weather Alert Issued

Midweek storms won’t just bring rain—they could come with a punch.

The SA Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for several regions, including Gauteng, the extreme eastern parts of North West, the Mpumalanga Highveld, and the southern areas of Limpopo.

Expect heavy downpours, strong winds, excessive lightning, and even hail in some areas.
