Hailey Bieber’s influence remains on Erewhon smoothie in Los Angeles despite removal of celebrity name

Hailey Bieber’s name has been quietly removed from a celebrity-favorite smoothie at Los Angeles’ upscale grocery chain Erewhon.

The Hailey Bieber Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, which first launched in 2022, is now listed simply as the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, according to the store’s website.

Smoothie Remains Popular Despite Name Change

Originally intended as a limited-time offering, the $20 20-ounce beverage quickly became a permanent menu item due to its popularity.

While the name has changed, the smoothie itself remains unchanged, with organic strawberries, almond milk, bananas, avocado, dates, maple syrup, collagen peptides, sea moss gel, and coconut cream still blended into the pink-and-white drink.

Employees say customers continue to request the smoothie by Bieber’s name.

“All the customers don’t know. They still say Hailey Bieber.

She’s not getting anything, but it’s good for us,” one staff member told Page Six.

Another added, “It still has the spirit of Hailey!”

Contract Speculation But No Official Word

There’s been no official statement from Bieber or Erewhon regarding the name change.

Some employees suggested her contract may have expired, but details remain unclear.

Bieber, daughter of Stephen Baldwin and wife of Justin Bieber, has previously credited the smoothie with contributing to her glowing skin, noting she makes it part of her daily routine.

Celebrity Partnerships and Menu Favorites

Erewhon has collaborated with other high-profile names, including Sabrina Carpenter, Kourtney Kardashian, Bella Hadid, Billy Corgan, and Tinx.

Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze Soft Serve Sundae is still on the menu for $10.50, proving the celebrity branding remains a draw.

Nutritionists Weigh In on Health Claims

Despite its popularity, nutritionists caution against considering the smoothie a skin or health miracle.

At roughly 700 calories and nearly 80 grams of sugar per 20-ounce serving, the drink has more sugar than a Krispy Kreme donut and roughly the same calorie count as a McDonald’s Big Mac.

For comparison, a large Starbucks Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Frappuccino contains 440 calories and 74 grams of sugar.

Alabama-based dietitian Carolyn Williams told DailyMail.com, “It’s not going to improve your skin any more than another smoothie with fresh fruits in it.”

Experts warn that while celebrity-backed products may be trendy, they risk contributing to weight gain if consumed regularly, with supplements like collagen and sea moss offering minimal benefit.

Smoothie Still a Fan Favorite

Despite the controversy and hefty price tag, the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie continues to be Erewhon’s most popular item.

Fans of the pink-and-white drink remain loyal, often requesting it by its original celebrity-branded name, proving that sometimes the celebrity association sticks long after the label changes.
