Gunman with ‘neo-Nazi’ ideologies opens fire at Texas mall, killing eight people
Authorities have confirmed that Mauricio Garcia, 33, had opened fire at a Texas mall, killing eight people in just four minutes.
Garcia was said to have held ‘neo-Nazi’ ideologies and had legally purchased eight firearms before the incident.
He carried three firearms on his person and kept five more in his vehicle, which he took to the shopping center in Allen.
Texas Department of Public Health and Safety Regional Director Hank Sibley confirmed that Garcia had no criminal history and that law enforcement is currently investigating if any of the firearms were used for criminal activities, but nothing has yet been flagged up on their systems.

Shooter targeted the location rather than individuals
According to officers, Garcia targeted the ‘location’ of the mall, rather than the individuals.
Sibley added that “he was very random in the people he killed.”
Despite this, law enforcement was unable to confirm the motive behind the shooting.
They did not find any manifesto left behind by the shooter.
The FBI is continuing to investigate the shooter’s electronic devices, social media profiles, and also monitoring his profile on the OK.RU platform.
