Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Virginia Johns to the Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board

Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Virginia Johns to the Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board.

Johns, of Gainesville, is President of John C. Hipp Construction Equipment Company. She was first appointed to the Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board in 2012 and has served on the City of Alachua’s Planning and Zoning Board while being a member of the Builder’s Association of North Central Florida and the Florida Farm Bureau. Johns earned a design degree from Bauder College.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
