In a significant move ahead of Edo State’s upcoming elections, Governor Monday Okpebholo has officially registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor’s registration was carried out in his hometown of Irrua during the ongoing e-registration process, where he proudly received his membership card as the state’s first registered APC member.

Expressing Satisfaction with the E-Registration Process

Following the registration, Governor Okpebholo shared his enthusiasm for the exercise.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Patrick Ebojele, the governor is pleased with the simplicity and accessibility of the e-registration initiative.

He encouraged both existing and prospective members to take advantage of the opportunity to formally join the party.

Speaking to journalists, he said, “I am happy and delighted with this e-registration exercise.

It is simple, efficient, and allows members who meet the requirements, like having a NIN and voter’s card, to register easily.

I urge every Edo citizen interested in joining APC to participate. You can even complete the registration online without having to visit your communities or wards.”

Gratitude to the E-Registration Team and Party Leaders

Governor Okpebholo also expressed his appreciation to the APC e-registration team and party leaders present at the event.

He specifically thanked Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe, the party’s senatorial leader, for monitoring the registration process.

Holding up his registration card, he affirmed, “I am now a fully registered member of APC. I encourage all party members to register and become full members.”

APC Officials Highlight Importance of Grassroots Participation

Otoanyenlen Osedebamen, the coordinator of the APC e-registration in Esan Central, emphasized that the exercise is designed to give all party members equal rights and opportunities.

He urged citizens to visit their polling units to register, reinforcing the party’s goal of inclusive participation.

We appreciate his leadership and commitment to the people of Edo, and we assure him of our full support.”
