“Of course, of course. Lucas Ribeiro is a top player and also my friend,” Sirino shared.
“I think he has all the qualities to be player of the season because the numbers are there as well.”
With 13 goals and seven assists to his name, Ribeiro has been more than just consistent—he’s been electric.
Sirino highlighted not just his stats, but also his ability to show up game after game.
“He plays well in every game and Sundowns are also doing well,” Sirino added.
“For me, he is the best player in South Africa now. He deserves to be the player of the season.”

The return leg will be played a week later, on 1 June, in Cairo.
