Gabriella Bardsley, known for her reality TV presence and as the daughter of Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley, found herself in serious legal trouble recently.
The 23-year-old influencer and TV personality admitted to drink-driving after being caught significantly over the legal alcohol limit in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
The Incident That Changed Everything
On May 11, police stopped Gabriella while she was driving her Audi A3.
The court heard that she was approaching the scene of a road traffic accident and tried to drive through a police blockade.
Officers described her as slurring her words and struggling to stand when they approached her, clearly showing signs of intoxication.
She refused to take a roadside breath test and was taken to the police station, where tests revealed she had 122 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath—nearly three and a half times the legal limit of 35 micrograms in England and Wales.
Gabriella’s Court Appearance and Legal Response
At Crewe Magistrates’ Court, Gabriella appeared in a black jacket and white trousers and pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
Her lawyer emphasized that she had a previously clean record and requested a pre-sentence report to be prepared by a female probation officer, citing sensitive personal matters to be addressed during sentencing.
The court adjourned the case and set sentencing for July 14.
However, they imposed an immediate driving ban, and Gabriella was visibly upset as she left the courtroom, supported by her step-father.
What Gabriella’s Future Could Look Like
Following her guilty plea, Gabriella faces potential penalties that could include an unlimited fine and possibly a longer driving disqualification.
Her legal troubles come at a time when she was reportedly being considered for this year’s Love Island lineup—something she and her family had previously addressed, with Gabriella reportedly declining invitations to the dating show.
Life in the Spotlight with the Bardsley Family
Gabriella is currently starring alongside her family in ITVBe’s reality series The Bardsley Bunch, which follows the lives of Tanya, her husband Phil, their three sons, and Gabriella herself.
Tanya has described their show as less glamorous than the Kardashians but more like “the Clampetts who won the lottery,” offering a down-to-earth look at family life.
The series features candid moments, captured through GoPro cameras and hidden microphones, showing both the highs and lows of their home life.
Tanya has been open about the family’s experiences with neurodiversity, revealing that many members are on the autism spectrum or have ADHD.
Challenges Beyond the Screen
The Bardsleys have faced real-life dangers too.
Just last month, Tanya revealed that masked intruders tried to break into their £2 million home while the family was asleep—but thankfully, the burglars were scared off before any harm was done.
Clarifying Family Details
In earlier reports, there was confusion about Gabriella’s family.
While it was initially said that her father accompanied her to court, it’s now understood it was her step-father who was with her.
