A secondary school student in Edinburgh died after collapsing at Forrester High School in the city’s west on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, the 15-year-old boy had a “medical incident,” and emergency services were summoned to the scene. Despite their efforts, the schoolboy passed away.
Police Scotland confirmed the death, but they are not treating it as suspicious, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Later, members of the public were invited to St David’s Broomhouse Parish Church for a period of reflection and to light a candle in memory of the boy.
The church posted an online message stating that they would be open from 8 pm to 9 pm for quiet reflection and to give people the opportunity to light a candle. Everyone is welcome to attend.
