The Cincinnati Bengals are wasting no time strengthening their offense before the 2025 NFL season kicks off.
With quarterback Joe Burrow at the helm, the team is adding more firepower—this time with a familiar name in the league, tight end Noah Fant.
Noah Fant Finds a New Home After Seahawks Exit
Fant, a former first-round pick back in 2019, was originally drafted by the Denver Broncos.
He later became part of a blockbuster trade that sent Russell Wilson to Denver and landed Fant in Seattle.
But after three seasons with the Seahawks, his time there came to an end on July 20, when he was released—largely for salary cap reasons.
The move saved Seattle almost $9 million.
Now, just a few weeks later, Fant appears to have landed on his feet.
He’s on the verge of joining the Bengals, bringing experience and versatility to Cincinnati’s already dangerous offensive lineup.
A Weapon for Joe Burrow’s Arsenal
Fant’s arrival adds another layer to a Bengals offense that’s brimming with talent.
He’ll be suiting up alongside wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, running back Chase Brown, and of course, the team’s franchise QB, Joe Burrow.
It’s a group built for explosive plays—and Fant might be just the piece they were missing at tight end.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Bengals were eager to get this deal done.
They reportedly see Fant playing “a multifaceted role” in the offense, which could mean anything from blocking to being a reliable red-zone target.
Kole Taylor Out to Make Room
To make space for Fant on the roster, Cincinnati has decided to part ways with Kole Taylor, another tight end who had been vying for a role this season.
It’s a tough break for Taylor, but the Bengals are clearly betting on Fant’s proven track record.
While in Seattle, Fant posted 130 receptions, 1,400 receiving yards, and five touchdowns—solid numbers for a tight end in a rotating offensive system.
Bengals Set Sights on a Comeback Season
After missing the playoffs last year, Cincinnati is determined to bounce back in 2025.
The team will open their season on September 7, hitting the road to take on division rivals Cleveland Browns.
With Fant now likely in the mix, fans are hopeful the offense can start hot and carry that energy all season long.
More updates are expected soon as the deal is finalized.
