“You know what, that’s football,” Makola said. “Nothing lasts forever.
But coach Jose really made Pirates fans happy again. The energy in the stadium, the style of play—he brought it all back.”

Makola went on to say that Riveiro’s influence shouldn’t be forgotten once he exits.
His hope is that the foundation he built remains intact even after he’s gone.

“I just hope the players keep the lessons he taught them.
He’s done so much, and it shouldn’t just disappear when he leaves,” Makola added.
Pitso Mosimane Tipped to Take the Reins
As for who should lead the Pirates forward, Makola had a confident answer: “Bring in coach Pitso.
If you want to build on what Jose has started and if you really want to go for the league title and compete in Africa, then he’s the one.”
