Former Love Island contestant Amy Hart has revealed that she and her partner, Sam Rason, have been sleeping in separate beds since the birth of their son in March 2023.
In an interview with the Secure the Insecure podcast, the 30-year-old explained that they were different from what they thought they would be before.
Although they initially bought a day bed for the nursery to sleep together, the reality was different, and Sam started sleeping downstairs in the nursery.
Amy admitted that sometimes they argue over sleep, especially when discussing their newborn’s sleeping patterns.
As the couple settles into parenthood, Amy hopes to get into a more routine and special schedule.
She said that it has been challenging for the first week, and they laugh about it now, but she wants to do special stuff when she goes back to work, and the routine will come then.
Amy Hart’s revelation that she and her partner sleep in separate beds is interesting, as it challenges the societal norm of couples sleeping together in the same bed.
It also sheds light on the challenges that new parents face in getting enough sleep while taking care of their newborn.
Amy’s comment that their sleeping arrangement has changed since the birth of their son suggests that sleeping in separate beds can be a practical solution for some couples.
It is also notable that Amy acknowledges the need for routine in their lives and plans to establish one when she goes back to work.
This suggests that routine is an essential aspect of their lives, even if their sleeping arrangements are different from what they initially envisioned.
Overall, Amy’s candid comments offer a refreshing perspective on sleep and relationships, challenging norms and highlighting the importance of practical solutions in adjusting to parenthood.
