Every football fan knows how unpredictable a player’s journey can be.

One moment, you’re the talk of the town, and the next, things simply don’t go the way everyone expected.

That’s the kind of winding path former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase has travelled — a story filled with big hopes, tough breaks, and a new beginning.

A Career That Started With Big Buzz

Long before his time with the Glamour Boys, Ntshangase had already shown flashes of brilliance at Baroka FC.

His performances there created a real sense of excitement, and by 2018, his switch to Kaizer Chiefs was viewed as a major signing — the kind of transfer that usually pushes a player into superstardom.

When Expectations Meet Reality

But football can be unforgiving. Instead of rising to new heights in Soweto, Ntshangase struggled to find his footing.

The pace, pressure, and expectations at Naturena didn’t work in his favour, and his dream move slowly turned into a difficult chapter.

After three seasons and 38 appearances — with only two assists to his name — the club eventually released him.

He later spent time at Marumo Gallants and Black Leopards, but even then, he never quite rediscovered the spark that once made him a rising star.

A New Beginning in the Lower Division

Now 32 and far from the PSL spotlight, Ntshangase is gearing up for a fresh start.

According to FARPost, he has signed with Mohlabile United, a team competing in the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League, which is South Africa’s third tier.

It’s a big step down from the top flight, but it’s also a space where players can rebuild, breathe, and rediscover their rhythm.

What His Numbers Look Like

Throughout his PSL career, Ntshangase played 58 matches, contributing two goals and five assists.

On the international stage, he also managed to score twice for Bafana Bafana.

Those stats, while modest, show the talent he once carried — and perhaps still does.

What Comes Next for Ntshangase?

With his move to Mohlabile United, the next chapter is wide open.

Whether this becomes a platform for a comeback or simply a new environment where he can enjoy the game again, only time will tell.

But one thing is certain: Siphelele Ntshangase isn’t done with football just yet.
