It’s a story that sounds like something out of a violent thriller — but this one unfolded on the real-life streets of North Yorkshire.

Simone Reed, a former Big Brother contestant known for her chaotic on-screen presence, is now at the centre of a far more disturbing headline.

The 36-year-old glamour model and reality TV personality has admitted involvement in a Molotov cocktail attack that left a man severely burned outside a bar in Redcar.

Petrol Stop Turns Sinister Before Brutal Bar Attack

The terrifying incident happened back in February, on what began as a night out that spiraled into unimaginable violence. CCTV footage shows Reed driving her friend, Carl Wild, to a petrol station to purchase fuel.

That petrol wasn’t for the car — it was for a homemade firebomb.

Moments later, just outside Peggy Junes Bar on Queen Street, Wild hurled the makeshift Molotov cocktail at a man named David Brotton.

The victim’s head was instantly engulfed in flames, and footage captured the horrifying scene as he frantically dropped to the ground, trying to smother the fire.

Chaos Inside the Bar as Violence Continues

The attack didn’t end there. After the Molotov was thrown, Carl Wild stormed into the bar, where he attacked customers, smashed up furniture, and even looted the till.

According to Cleveland Police, three people were rushed to the hospital with serious, though non-life-threatening, injuries that night.

Reed Breaks Down in Court After Admitting Role

At Teesside Crown Court, Simone Reed broke down as she admitted to encouraging or assisting arson.

Once known for her appearances on Big Brother, The X Factor, and On Benefits, the reality star is now facing serious consequences off-screen.

Reed, from Eaglescliffe, Teesside, has been released on bail with strict conditions, including a 7pm to 5am home curfew.

Meanwhile, Carl Wild — now 34 — admitted to causing grievous bodily harm with intent and aggravated burglary.

A third man, Lee Wild, aged 37 and also from Redcar, pleaded guilty to causing fear of violence.

All three are scheduled to be sentenced this October.

A Troubled Reality TV History Follows Reed

This isn’t Simone Reed’s first brush with controversy.

Viewers of Big Brother may remember her dramatic 2017 appearance — a late addition to the cast that came with plenty of baggage.

Reed was reportedly removed from the audience at the show’s live finale after spitting on fellow contestant Andrew Cruickshanks.

She wasn’t allowed to attend the wrap party afterward and tweeted that she “wasn’t bothered,” though fans on social media slammed her behavior as “disgusting.”

Even before her reality TV fame, Reed had a criminal past.

Back in 2009, she served six months in prison after being convicted of affray.

Social Media Bragging Sparks Further Backlash

To make matters worse, following her arrest for the Molotov incident, Reed posted a photo on social media flaunting her ankle tag — almost as if treating the serious charge like a joke.

That image only fueled criticism, especially from those who felt she wasn’t taking the situation seriously.

Police Investigation Ongoing as Public Demands Accountability

Cleveland Police have yet to issue an updated public statement on the case, but it’s clear the incident has sparked widespread concern.

With sentencing looming in the fall, many are watching closely to see what consequences will follow for those involved — especially a reality star whose troubled past keeps catching up with her.
