On Friday, July 23, 2021, former Representative Marilyn Bailey Evans-Jones passed away. She served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1976 until 1986. She worked on legislation inspired by her family, including the Florida Clean Indoor Air Act, and issues such as child safety, restraints in automobiles and handicapped parking. She was appointed to the Constitutional Revision Commission in 1997. She went on to serve the Nassau County community in various ways, including helping to open the domestic violence center, Micah’s Place. She will be remembered as a devoted and Christ-centered public servant, family member and friend.
