Federal Government Want More Collaboration With Stakeholders

The federal government has harped on the need for more collaboration between the government and stakeholders in order to make nigerua the hub of medical tourism for sub-saharan Africa so as to achieve effective and efficient healthcare delivery

The vice-president, Professor Osinbajo who let this out this friday in lagos during the official inauguration of duchess international hospital promised that government at the centre would accelerate such development with workable programs and policies

He submitted that government has initiated healthcare interventions program through the centra bank of nigeria, CBN, to support the medical sector as a means of standardizing the sector in order to meet the international standard adding that such gesture would also serve as an incentive for people in diaspora to be part of the developmental agenda

Applauding the management of the hospital for the initiative, the vice-president informed that the hospital would help to reduce the issue of migration of nigerians abroad for medical care stressing that the nation has the manpower to be the best in the world interms of good healthcare delivery

Earler the Ogun state governor Prince Dapo Abiodun described the initiative as a welcome development that will help to resolve the health care challenges in the country

Governor abiodun explained that the state government is committed to the welbeing and welness of its people through the provision of qualitative healthcate delivery by rebranding all the existing health facilities across the state

The governor while pointing out that the resucitation of olabisi onabanjo university teaching hospital, OOUTH, in Sagamu has helped to improve on healtcare delivery in the state said the current adminisration believes that when people are healthy they will be able to contribute meaningfully to the state development
