The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council AMAC, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, congratulates the residents on their peaceful conduct during the Chairmanship and Councillors elections last Saturday.
Candido appreciated all those who won and lost during the exercise for their show of maturity.
He said AMAC belongs to the residents, and they must work for it to succeed.
“Certain political parties and candidates won during the last Saturday election for Chairman and Councillors.
It is, therefore, the council’s responsibility to appreciate the residents for conducting themselves peacefully before, during and after the elections irrespective of their political parties.
“I also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its unbiased umpire by demonstrating neutrality and efficiency.
Residents may have come across some issues that generally have to do with the system, but I believe it’s still a learning process; with time, INEC will get it right.
“For me, I feel AMAC is greater than any other interest and personality, so I wish the winner the best because the person would continue with the governance.
We will continue to pray for them to succeed as their success will have a direct impact on the entire AMAC,” he said.
