When Hope Palmer, the fashion assistant at You magazine, was recently spotted at London Fashion Week, many assumed she was wearing high-end designer shoes.
But, surprise! The shoes were actually from Tu, the fashion line at Sainsbury’s, and available alongside your regular grocery shop.
This is just one of the many moments the supermarket’s fashion range has caught attention recently.
A Rising Star in Fashion
Lately, Sainsbury’s Tu clothing has been taking over Instagram, with influencers raving about everything from quilted denim gilets to their much-loved pyjamas.
It seems like this supermarket brand is having its moment in the spotlight, and You magazine’s fashion bookings editor, Lila Flint Roberts, is all in.
She’s particularly fond of a red linen co-ord, consisting of a waistcoat (£26) and trousers (£22.50), predicting it’ll be a major trend this spring. She’s also impressed by the fabric quality, especially when compared to other high street brands.
For example, she points out that a similar red waistcoat from Hobbs is made from synthetic fibres and priced over four times higher.
Quality Without the Price Tag
Lila goes on to recommend a classic 100% cotton shirt from Tu, priced at just £24, and a stylish denim waistcoat with frill details, which is inspired by Isabel Marant.
Another standout piece in the collection is their cotton pyjamas, which have also been getting a lot of love online.
These pyjamas are 100% cotton and usually priced under £25, making them a great option for a comfortable night’s sleep without overheating.
The collection also includes trendy leopard and snakeskin items, as well as affordable barrel-leg jeans, all of which are catching the fashion world’s eye.
Spring Picks From Tu at Sainsbury’s
The spring collection from Tu at Sainsbury’s is definitely one to check out, with pieces ranging from stylish red linen co-ords to affordable wardrobe staples.
Whether you’re on the hunt for trendy jeans or a new set of comfy pyjamas, there’s something for everyone, all without breaking the bank.
