The vendor, whose identity is unknown and posted the ad on the Facebook group ‘Uninspiring Adverts’, shared two images of the vessel on the social media site to sell it.

Both images depict the ‘2022 Toyota’, claimed to have had “one owner”, almost fully submerged in a canal in the UK.

The post received nearly 200 likes and numerous comments from users.

One person mocked the boat, while another suggested it was being sold for too high a price.

Criticism of a Bad Facebook Marketplace Ad

A Facebook seller, whose name was kept private in the group ‘Uninspiring Adverts,’ has sparked a backlash for trying to sell a run-down speedboat that was partially submerged in a canal and full of holes for £1,500.

The vendor uploaded two images of the vessel on Facebook’s online marketplace, both of which showed the ‘2022 Toyota’ almost completely underwater somewhere in the UK.

Despite being sold as having “one owner,” it was clear that the boat was in poor condition, and it drew a lot of attention on the social media site.

Many people took issue with the vendor’s price and wondered why anyone would buy a broken boat that was almost entirely underwater.

Comments Mocking the Speedboat Listing

The boat’s poor condition prompted ridicule from Facebook users.

One user remarked that the vessel was not worth the price, while another person speculated that the previous owner was not a boat expert.

A third member of the group joked that the boat was not intended to be used as a submarine.

Others suggested that the photos of the boat were taken at low tide, while someone else predicted that the asking price would drop further in the coming weeks.

The Vajankle Sale

In another odd marketplace listing, a seller in Ohio attempted to sell a Vajankle, which is a prosthetic foot with a vagina on top, for approximately £80.

The advertisement was posted on the Portage County sell and trade no restrictions Facebook group.

The seller even claimed that the item was “lightly used,” adding that they knew the product’s true value and would not accept lowball offers.
